New Foodbank Manager

Posted on March 31, 2017 Under News, Vacancies

We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Lucy Freeman to the position of Manager of Lutterworth & Villages Foodbank, effective from 1st May 2017.

This represents a new stage for our Foodbank as this part-time job has been created to focus on the development of our long-term vision; in particular to extend our partnerships with referrers and other local agencies, as well as exploring the many funding opportunities that we must take advantage of in order to offer the best support possible to people in crisis in the future.

With the evolution of the Manager’s role, there will now be more opportunities for volunteers to use existing skills (or develop new ones!) to help with some of the smaller, but still important tasks that keep the Foodbank running. If you’d like to help, please do volunteer via the Foodbank Website.

Stephanie Heath will be staying with us as she will continue to volunteer as Distribution Centre Supervisor at the Church Gate Centre in Lutterworth, and April will be spent making preparations for the handover to Lucy.

Our thanks to Stephanie, and our congratulations to Lucy. We look forward to exciting and productive times ahead.

With best wishes and thanks to you all for your ongoing support.

Charlie Styles (Lead Minister)
John Warren (Chair of Foodbank Steering Group)
